- "MLK Mixtapes" Interesting project that's circulating around the interwebs today. Greg Street put together an MLK x Dr. Dre mixtape called "The Speeches". He's been dead almost 42 years, so I understand the stretch here. It's hard to keep finding new ways to honor somebody, I get that. So what if Dre is a woman-beating steroid abuser who hawks ridiculously overpriced headphones? MLK speeches over The Chronic instrumentals can never be a bad thing. Props 2DBz.
- "MLK Movies" It was news to me that there's an MLK movie in the works. It's directed by Lee Daniels (see Precious) and produced by Brad Pitt (see....Meet Joe Black) and the working title right now is Selma. The King family has expressed some concern over the fact that the draft of the film's script doesn't cover up MLK's well-documented weakness for women. I mean, I would appreciate an honest biopic over a glorified love-fest personally. Plus, after I've lived my life and people look back on me, if the worst thing they can dig up on me is that I piped a bunch of different women, well, I'd say I lived a pretty good life. No complaints there. Via Bossip.
- "Sloth" After looking back on these past few days, I can honestly say that I've never had a more unproductive weekend in my entire life. The first bad sign was that it started on Wednesday. 4 football games, a couple more basketball games, and half of Team America: World Police later, I've got pretty much nothing to show for this weekend. My only saving grace? I didn't have shit to do anyways.
- "Bearbricks" As overpriced and purposeless as they are, these BMW x Medicom Bearbricks are pretty tight. Props High Snobiety. *Hint* Unless you really drive a BMW, don't put one of these on your keychain. I'll just make fun of you.
- "Brett Favre"
I hate him and I always will, but I gotta respect the game. He made the Cowboys look foolish yesterday, and then proceeded to sing the future Record of the Year "Pants on the Ground" in the locker room. Via TBL.
