Daily Top 5 >>> 8/20/10

  • "The Remix"

The 'Power' remix that dropped last night and tore up the innernets has grown on me. Kanye really went in - "They say As-Salamu-Alaykum say Walaikum As-salaam. That's no Oscar Meyer bacon, u should run and tell ya mom" - and I love the original so I was happy. The only thing that I can't get down with is Swizz Beatz having to ad-lib over the track at the end. 5+ minutes of good music ruined. Swizz shoulda retired from music everything after he skeeted up Alicia Keys. He'll never be able to top that. DL here. Stream courtesy of Uphill/Downtown.
  • "Fuckery"

Via TBL. I can't really decide on whether this is a good thing or a bad thing for the Tampa Bay Rays. On one hand, they allow their paying customers to be served to the point of blacking out and potential alcohol poisoning (which is awesome). On the other hand, they have the second-best record in baseball yet have entire rows of seats empty.
  • "Drake"

Say what you want about his music, R&B delusions and awkward facial expressions - AHH! - the man's material is well-crafted. Via, well everywhere, here's the video for "Miss Me", one of the better tracks off Thank Me Later. As somebody familiar with the ins and outs of professional editing tools, I've got to respect the time and effort this video required.
  • "Europe"

Greece and Serbia got into a "fight" recently during a FIBA scrimmage. This just further proves how soft Europe and the parts of Asia people refuse to call Asia are. Strippers on Jerry Springer scrap harder than this. And then dude throws a chair at the end? You're like 6'8", c'mon man. If I was that big I couldn't punch people enough. Via TBL.
