Daily Top 5 >>> 2/18/11

  • "Mike"

The GOAT turned 48 yesterday. So here go some highlights to commemorate what should be a national holiday. At least a Chicago holiday. Casimir Pulaski has one.
  • "Science" National Geographic just pressed up their 'Best Science Pictures of 2010' list. Pretty wild stuff, including the most detailed 3D model of the HIV virus ever. Looks how I imagined it would. Scary as shit.
  • "Odd Future"

Kellyn told me about these guys. Actually, mostly just about their rowdy ass set on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. That's all I really have to say about this. It must be experienced. Props TSS.
  • "The Hall of Fame" The finalists for the 2011 Basketball Hall of Fame class were announced today. Chris Mullin and Dennis Rodman (!!!). Rodman has to be in. 5 rings, 8-time All-Defense team, averaged 13.1 rebounds for his career, all while being "position-less" as a 6'7" forward who couldn't shoot. Hall of Famer. Reggie Miller was left off the ballot, which is unbelievable. Arguably the quickest release ever, unlimited range, 2nd all-time in 3-pointers made. When you think clutch, you think Reggie. He at least has to be in the discussion.
