- "Heat Checks"
If you've been on a sports website today, you've probably seen the highlights of Kevin Durant's 66-point effort at the Rucker. This isn't really a huge deal, for two reasons. First, it's Kevin Durant. Second, it's a summer park league game. But still. Look where this dude is pullin' from. And it's outside. The Western Conference is probably hoping the lockout keeps going strong.
- "Good Music"
Dropped a couple days ago, but I haven't been on this thing in a couple days so just enjoy this shit. "On The Corner" from Smoke DZA, Big K.R.I.T. and Bun B. Rolling Stoned coming soon. Via 2DBz.
- "Hype" The Jordan 11 Concords just got a release date. December 23rd. They're clean as clean can be, but I refuse to camp out in Chicago winters for anything less than Stacey Dash's hand in marriage (NSFW). Hypebeasts, have at it.
- "Illinois" Really happy about my state doing the right thing and passing the DREAM Act. It's been a serious struggle trying to get it signed into law, but it's finally done. No tax dollars involved for all you conservatives out there reading.
- "Fuckery" The Artist Formerly Known As DJ Dow Jones hit my inbox over the weekend with the full text from his little legal scuffle with the OG Dow Jones. Click here to read the whole thing for yourself. It's pretty hilarious. I can't believe you, Mena. How could you be stylizing so recklessly? At the same time, it's terrifying. They knew he had "plans to start a Facebook page." Just for y'all's information, Dow Jones is a News Corporation company. Which means it's owned by Rupert Murdoch. Which means that, Mena, your e-mail has probably been hacked for weeks. And which also means that you made the smart move by agreeing to change names, because Rupert probably woulda had you murdered.
